Buckham Gallery is a professional-quality exhibition space. We strive for our exhibiting artists to present their work in a clean, professional manner.

Presentation Guidelines

All artwork must be clearly labeled with: name, title, medium, and price.

Two-dimensional Works
  • All work must be submitted ready-to-hang.
  • Works on paper should (generally) be matted and any work with a paper mat must have a protective covering of glass or plexiglas- unless approved by the exhibition committee prior to drop off.
  • Frames should appear new and well crafted, not battered and falling apart at the joints.
  • Hardware: It is strongly recommended that wall hung work have D-ring/strap hanger or eye hooks appropriately rated to hold the weight of the artwork. No sawtooth hangers or clip hangers. Wire should be braided picture wire sufficiently rated to hold the weight of the artwork.
  • It is recommended that wire is attached ⅓ to ¼ from the top of the artwork for wall installation. Wires should not reach the top of the artwork.
  • Gallery-wrapped canvases and cradled panels may be submitted unframed. Note: Edges must be finished.
  • Unusual framing or display approaches must be approved by the exhibition committee before drop off.
  • It is recognized that not all artwork needs or should be framed. Please submit a description of your alternate presentation proposal to the exhibition committee for review.

Three-dimensional Works
  • Please let the gallery know how many pedestals are required prior to dropping off of artwork. Please submit any unusual installation requirements to the gallery.
  • Any special hardware and tools for installation are the responsibility of the artist.
  • Submit image or diagram of the work for proper installation. Artists are encouraged to help with complicated or fragile installations.

Delivery and Return of Work:

Work may be hand delivered or shipped. Shipped works must be sent in easily reusable packaging. Exhibited works will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Works not claimed within 30 days of the end of the exhibit will become property of Buckham Gallery.
