Buckham is over the moon with love and gratitude for the amazing attendance at the second annual B.Y.O.C. Fundraising event!!! Between March 22 and 23, Buckham had $9,448 in art sales- which means $4,724 goes directly to the participating artists!
I owe my deepest gratitude to Katie Cotton and volunteer Casey DeMoss, without whom we would not have been able to install 243 works of art in two days and run a successful event. A profound thank you to the volunteers who ensured the event ran smoothly: Carly Aldridge, Nic Custer, Babak Elahi, Donovan Entrekin, Alexander Glenn, Cliff Hughes, Kirsten Kaufmann, Daniel Kienitz, Janice McCoy, Ken Milito, Matthew Osmon, Lynn Penning, Kirstie Richard, Roy Richard, Phillip Walker II, Chris Waters, and Jan Worth.
We are grateful to the FIA Art School, Kay and Michael Kelly, and Kirstie and Roy Richard for their sponsorship. Many thanks to the 63 artists who participated by exhibiting their artworks, The Camisas for the music, and to everyone who attended the event!
Next, I would like to say thank you to all the individuals and organizations who support Buckham Fine Arts Project and Gallery, including Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Michigan Arts and Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, Greater Flint Arts Council Share Art Genesee Grant program made possible by the Genesee County Arts Education and Cultural Enrichment Millage Funds. Your tax dollars are at work! Thank you!
With a full heart,
Michele Leclaire
