Metaphysique, National Juried Exhibition

Buckham Fine Arts Project continues its 40th Anniversary with Spring Exhibitions, the sixth of ten presentations this season. The gallery is now open with three concurrent exhibitions, an intimate solo presentation by Boisali Biswas and two nationally juried exhibitions: Metaphysique and Sculpture. Join us in celebrating the new Spring Exhibitions with the artists on April 12, from 6 to 9 PM.

Metaphysique is an exhibition of artworks that address the ideas, issues, topics, forms, aesthetics, symbolisms, politics, feelings, questions, doubts, fears, celebrations, desires, repulsions, histories, metaphors, shames, exultancies, and/or etc of the human figure: clothed, bare, in any media, in any style, narrative, formal, classic, experimental, political, religious, inside, outside, solo, in groups, etc. Ultimately the works presented include paintings, sculptures, printmaking, and textiles.

“...I selected works that each approached the human image in a unique way, providing the gallery with the opportunity to put together a very diverse show with images that run the gamut,” said juror Donovan Entrekin of the selection process.
