Allegories to Anatomies April 12 - May 4, 2019
This exhibition featured figurative drawings and paintings which explore different ways to consider the human condition. From academic studies to existential story telling to scenes of everyday life, these artists all display their mastery of the figure in ways that will challenge and inspire the viewer. Allegories to Anatomies features works by Stephen Halko, Jeanine Leclaire, and Nick Reszetar.

FIELD WORK explores elements and concepts inspired by and in response to the natural world around us, expressed through a diverse range of media, including painting, photography, fiber, and mixed media installation. This group exhibition brings together eight female artists, all living and working in Southeast Michigan. Featured artists include Morgan Barrie, Susan Goethel Campbell, Lindsey Dezman, Iris Eichenberg, Nancy Mitchnick, Amy Sacksteder, Margo Wolowiec, and Elizabeth Youngblood.

Buckham Gallery presented three concurrent solo exhibitions featuring Tommy Mintz, Thom Sawyer and Sally Strand.
Tommy Mintz: Algorithmic Allegories presented algorithmically crafted images of bustling NYC. Mintz’s Automated Digital Photo Collages feature psychedelic visual echoes. Algorithmic Allegories also featured an interactive collage being generated live of the views walking around the exhibit.
Thom Sawyer: Selections from: 100 Views of Baylor Canyon, featured still landscapes of high desert of southern New Mexico at the foot of the Organ and San Andres Mountains. The drawings encompass many elements of everyday quiet domestic life, made eire by the absence of people.
Sally Strand: Totems. Buckham Member Artist, Strand, creates spiritual objects with natural material such as wood, stone, and metal.
