Artist Statement
My artwork is about the connections, the hope and imagination that is at the core of us all. It’s what makes us human. We don’t understand many things, but we dream and wonder anyway. My subject matter tends to be those fragmentary passages that reside within the mundane - the in-between spaces of our lives that we see but often do not notice. For me, my artwork is also about the viewing pleasure of seeing; of being cognizant of the world around us. I view each piece as being part of a single, ongoing work. The intent to see in one’s work their own work of an honest sincere expression of deep personal feelings. If you are really touched by what you see and if I created that sincerity it will reach you.
