Donations Support Buckham Fine Arts Project- Your contemporary art family

Your contributions to BFAP are critical to our success. Thoughtful donations by members and patrons help us bring contemporary art, visual and performing, into our community and support local artists. Donations also fund our powerful initiatives that connect us with the greater Flint community, including BFAP’s Writer In Residence, On Screen, Student Internships, and the newest project: Flint Emerging Artist Residency in partnership with University of Michigan- Flint’s Arts + Culture Research Cluster.

Make a general donation to support the organization below or designate the funding for a specific project you would like to support.

Special Projects: Support the Writer In Residence Publication

Become a WIR Friend (donation of $25 - $99) or WIR Sponsor ($100 - $1000) of the first publication and WIR artists. This first publication features Shea Phire Cobb, BFAP’s first resident writer. Cobb poetically responds to 12 visual art works during April through September 2021. This publication also includes 4 personal response compositions by Cobb.

“When I speak, I speak with passion and power, as I am confident in the freedom given to each child living and breathing on this earth. I speak for the cleanliness of our homes and streets. The dreams we have for future warmth and love. Being the first Buckham writer in residence delicately led me back to the path of my purpose and I will forever be grateful….….The truth won’t hide from you but you must still seek it out. This type of project will break you down and place your voice in the most beautiful acoustic room, your own sound will shock you….”  -Shea Phire Cobb, October 2021

WIR Friend and Sponsor Donors names will be listed in the printed publication*, receive one signed copy of this WIR publication, and invitation to the publication release event. Donors at the sponsor level will also have their name listed at the vestibule entering into Buckham Gallery.

*Donations must be received by November 30, 2021 to have name printed in this publication.
