​Buckham Gallery is pleased to present Eros & Thanatos, a nationally juried exhibition, concurrently with two solo exhibitions featuring Flint artists Amanda Edwards and Terra Lockhart.

Amanda Edwards | Little Bean Dude
Amanda Edwards’ work is primarily focused on stylized characters that incorporate feeling, humor, and child-like wonder into the imagery. She primarily works in the mediums of drawing and painting, both physical and digital with a large focus on color. Little Bean Dude debuted in Amanda’s solo exhibition, “Friends”, in September 2019.

Amanda Edwards holds a BFA of Illustration from Columbia College Chicago. She resides in the Greater Flint Area, is an artist collaborating member of Buckham Gallery and exhibits regionally.


Terra Lockhart | We Will Fluoresce Together
Terra Lockhart is constantly working in new mediums, often learning a completely new skill set, process or material with each project alongside the mediums she is familiar with to create mixed media sculptures and assemblages. Her work dances the edge between the fantastical, the strange, and real life occurrences. She is inspired by the things she finds most fascinating about flora and fauna, the human form and mind, the connection between all beings, the nostalgia of neon, and the uncanny.

Terra brings The God of Precious Gifts, an interactive sculpture to Buckham Gallery. BRING A GIFT, TAKE A GIFT: To take a gift currently in the hands of The God of Precious Gifts, you must also leave a small gift in its place.

Eros & Thanatos | National Juried Exhibition
Buckham Gallery presents Eros & Thanatos, a national juried exhibition established to explore the Greek words for Love and Death. Eros, Greek god of love and sex, and Thanatos, the personification of death, have been used throughout western culture to symbolize the driving forces of life, love, sexuality and creativity as well as acknowledging our own mortality.

Eros & Thanatos features: Susanna C. Austin, Autumn Brown, Audrey Cha, Terence Cover, Virginia Derryberry, Paul Erlandson, Pauly M. Everett, Leonard Greco, Autumn Kioti Horne, Zoe Nicole Nielsen, Christopher Schneider, Sue E. Schneider, Jeff Schofield, Ariel Williams, and Taryn Zust
