For all of recorded human history, we have created vessels in which to hold water, food, collections of objects, or human remains. These vessels often exist to serve functional purposes, while also decorative with scenes of life and humanity. Vessels have been made of wood, stone, clay, glass, metal, and also paper, fiberglass, etc… While the original vessels served functional purposes, we now create non-functional vessels to be admired in form and beauty. Buckham Gallery presents an exhibition of three dimensional vessels, functional or non-functional, in a wide range of size and materials.
