Sifus J. Thompson is a skillful draughtsman who works in graphite. Thompson uses images from pop culture to find his own identity.
As human beings appear to be genetically programmed to perform many different activities, with all these skills unfolding in a regular, largely pre ordinated pattern. Along with the unique skills of each individual, the environment also plays a role. As I grew and pieced aspects of my identity through my experiences, the most significant factor that impacted my identity is my cultural background, other cultures and religious settings. This new body of work reflects my cultural practice and surroundings.
