Dives, Dines & Drive-Ins: Anthology featuring the 2023-2024 Literary Artist Collaborators is now available!
Buckham Fine Arts Project is pleased to announce the release of "Dives, Diners & Drive-Ins," the inaugural anthology featuring the works of the 2023-2024 Buckham Literary Artist Collaborators. At the core of Buckham Fine Arts Project since 1984 is the guiding principle of providing opportunities for our community to engage with a broad range of innovative contemporary art, both visual and non-visual, of the highest quality and standard. Our vision includes supporting and nurturing artists, building community and inclusivity, while challenging our audience to engage with and look at art in new ways. After creating the Writer residency in 2021 to unite Buckham’s visual art programming and literary arts, while supporting Flint’s BIPOC writers, we recognized a need to intentionally invite writers to join Buckham Arts Collective as Artist Collaborators. With support from board members, we developed a more inclusive membership description for writers in our growing artist-family. This move better supports and grows Buckham’s non-visual art programming, developing literary events such as readings and other cross discipline projects. The annual group exhibition is a tradition for the Buckham Fine Arts Project and this year connects directly to the content in the first anthology-- bringing together artists and writers. This year's group exhibition, Dives, Diners & Drive-ins, features works of various media by local Flint artists and Collaborators of the Buckham Fine Arts Project. With the addition of the Literary Artist Collaborators, we are delighted to share their first anthology. Featured Writers: Melodie Bolt, Bob Campbell, Connor Coyne, Nic Custer, Tim Lane, Roy Richard and Jan Worth |
