Brown Bag, National Juried Exhibition
Brown Bag, juried by Alyson Hollobaugh
From the grocery store to carry out containers to sack lunches, we carry our food in the gently textured and slightly crinkly Brown Bag. The Brown Bag is the vehicle through which we receive our delicious food which carries its own weight. Food can bring with it the memories of meals made by family or eaten in childhood. It can represent culture and tradition. Food can hint at growth and time and joy. Most of all what food does is bring us together. Brown Bag Selected Artists: Susanna C. Austin, Justin Barfield, Natalie Selden Barnes, Nina Cambron, Syed Ayaz Fatmi, Megan Foldenauer, Carolyn Mae Guerin, Gwendolyn Leandra Hopkins, Anastasia King, Laura Macintyre, Mable Ni, Rachel Reynolds Z, Erica Trabold, Ellen VanderMyde, Ed Watkins, & Black Rabbit 665. |
