As 2024 draws to a close, I want to sincerely thank you for your incredible support throughout the year. Whether you engaged with us at ARTWALK, joined a book reading, attended an exhibition, participated in an artist talk, enjoyed a staged reading through the Emerging Artist Fellowship, watched an In Conversation video on Buckham Gallery's YouTube Channel, explored our virtual gallery online, or had the privilege of exhibiting or performing at the gallery, your involvement means the world to us. Thank you!
It’s not whimsy that we pursue bringing arts to Flint. Since 1984, our mission has centered around the belief that art enriches communities. It fosters empathy by allowing us to see and experience life through different perspectives. The presence of art makes our lives more vibrant and fulfilling. As a non-profit organization, Buckham presents innovative contemporary art—ranging from literary and performing to visual—without the pressure of relying on sales for our expenses. This is made possible by the generosity of supporters like you.
This year alone, we were proud to support 239 artists in creating new visual and literary works, helping them share and perform their talents right here in Flint, Michigan. We’ve already committed to supporting 103 artists in the 41st Exhibition Season, with more to be added!
As we reflect on an outstanding 40th Anniversary Season, we are focusing on how to make the next season even more impactful. I invite you to join us in this mission by contributing financially to the Buckham Fine Arts Project | Buckham Gallery.
A gift of just $50 can help transport a single artwork to the gallery, while $150 supports a local musician performing at a community event. A contribution of $250 can go even further in helping us fulfill our mission. You can easily make a donation online at buckhamgallery.org, or by mailing a check to 121 W 2nd St., Flint, MI 48502.
Every contribution, large or small, is vital for us to continue enriching our community with innovative contemporary art throughout Genesee County and beyond.
