12th – October 4th:
Works by Flint artist Michael Beeler (Sculpture), Livonia artist Robert Downs
(installation), Kenneth Hakala (painting), Artist/Member Tom Nuzum (painting),
and Highland Painter Sonya Persia.
October
10th - November 1st: “Salience”
The
Photographer’s Guild, Janet Lorch and Alan Zinn meet
to create a lush, layered experience for the viewer. Intriguing
installations will share the space with discrete pieces.
November
14th - December 5th: “Reconnaissance”
Four painters, Christopher Rose, Michael Sevick,
Christine Waters and Elaine Wilson observe and respond
to the landscape as a powerful metaphorical basis for imagery. December 12th
- January 3rd: “24, Ours"
An exhibition
of small format works linking Buckham Artist-Members with other
invited mid-Michigan artists working in a wide range of two
and three dimensional mediums. Modestly sized works will allow
Buckham to offer 60 or more works by over 30 artists.
January 9th - 31st: “Being
Sentient”
Works by
Mary Brodbeck, Mia Capodilo, Ben Clore, Craig Hinshaw and Stephanie
Palagyi. All are invited artists identified by the Buckham
Gallery Exhibition Committee during the “call for artists” selection
process.
February 13th - March 7th: “Itinerary”
Works by
Greg Londragin, Cara Jo Miller, Susan Morrison, Tokujiro Nishi,
and Barbara White. These artists carry us on a voyage in time
and space. From modernist sculpture through post impressionist
landscape, from ancient Japan to neo-cubist America.
March 13th - April 3rd: “Cool
Cities Celebration”
An exhibition and celebration featuring work by Buckham Artist-Members,
regional artists and friends of the gallery which is offered
in collaboration with downtown Flint and other local galleries
and arts-related organizations. The closing of the several
exhibitions feature silent auctions in which donated art objects
and other art-related items are sold to benefit the participating
galleries.
April 10th - May 2nd: “Dramatis Personae:
All the Worlds a Stage"
Robert McCann, Charles Peace, Amanda Simons,
and Courtney Simpson. Using an always fascinating subject,
(the human animal), these artists create figurative compositions
of mystery, allure, melancholy and humor.
May 8th - 30th: “Interplay:
Fantasy and Experiment”
The works of James Colando, Maria Lupo, John Heizer, Tim Kranz
and Scott VanAllsburg in an exhibition of startling invention.
The imaginative and bold works of these artists derive from
a rich inner life: at times playful at other times dark and
disturbing.
June 12th- July 3rd: “Generation
Next”
Seven to
ten promising younger artists will share Buckham’s space
in their introduction to the Mid-Michigan art scene.
July 11th - August 2nd: “Market Trends”
Works
by the Flint Artists Market Group. An informal group that has
met to critique and discuss their work for decades. its many
highly respected participant-artists have brought much to the
regional arts scene.
August 3rd - September 8th: Gallery closed for maintenance.
September 11th - October 4th: “By
All Means”
An all-media, state-wide juried exhibition chosen by Larry
Cressman, a well-known artist whose work is widely appreciated
among artists in Michigan and the upper mid-west. |
