The story of the Flint Water Crisis has been told in the language of science, as a tale of chemistry and corrosion. It has been told in the language of economics, as a tale of cost-cutting and fiscal austerity. It has been told in the language of politics, as a tale of failed policies and angry citizens. But even all of these together cannot capture its full significance. In this exhibition on loan from Buckham Gallery, the story of the crisis is told through art–art that deepens our understanding of the scientific, economic, and political implications of the crisis while revealing its human toll.
